Compact Electric Orange Juicer

The entry point: a small electric press for a glass now and then, on a counter where a full-size press would be in the way.
How it works
Same idea as its bigger siblings: press a halved fruit on the cone and the motor turns until you lift. It is a lighter build with a smaller footprint, sized for one or two glasses rather than a pitcher.
The cone handles the usual citrus range. The strainer keeps seeds out of the glass. For a crowd or a weekly juice habit, step up to the Power-Pro instead.
Pace, and when to rest it
A glass or two at a time is its comfort zone. It will make a pitcher, but give it a rest partway. The motor is smaller than the Power-Pro's.
Care
The juice-path parts come apart without tools and go in the dishwasher. The base wipes clean. Because the press is light, hold the base steady with your free hand while pressing.
Keeping the compact still
The honest weak spot of the lightest press: on a slick counter it walks while you press. Here is what actually holds it, surface by surface. Nothing here needs a purchase from us.
| Counter | What happens | What holds it |
|---|---|---|
| Wet or polished stone | Slides on the film of water | Wipe dry first, then a damp tea towel folded under the base |
| Sealed wood or laminate | Creeps a few millimetres per press | A silicone baking mat, or your free hand on the base |
| Textured stone or tile | Usually stays put | Nothing: press straight down and it holds |
| Glass or steel | Worst case: slides and rings | Silicone mat, and press slower for the first half |
If none of that appeals, the fix is a heavier machine rather than a trick: the Power-Pro and the cast iron press stand still on their own.
What this juicer is not
What it is not: planted. It is the lightest press we make, and on a slick counter it can walk while you press. A silicone mat or a damp tea towel under the base fixes that completely. So does steadying it by hand. If that bothers you, the heavier presses do not move.
What you are paying for
It costs a fraction of the flagship because it is a fraction of the machine: smaller motor, lighter body, same idea. For occasional juice, that is the honest right amount of juicer.
