How it works

Halve the fruit, press it on the cone, and the motor starts from the pressure and stops when you lift. The 300 W motor holds its pace even when you are pressing a grapefruit half. The handle holds the fruit down so your wrist does not do the twisting.

One cone covers limes through grapefruit. The strainer holds seeds and most pulp back. For completely smooth juice, pour through a fine sieve.

Pace, and when to rest it

Same rhythm as the Power-Pro: a pitcher at a time, then a short rest. Let the motor set the pace, and keep your pressure straight down.

Care

Juice-path parts lift off for the top rack of the dishwasher. The die-cast base wipes clean. Dry the cone shaft before you put it back together, so the drive socket is never left sitting wet.

Every part, on the table

The take-apart gallery: what comes off, what goes in the dishwasher, and what the plastic parts actually look like. Nothing hidden.

What this juicer is not

What it is not: a different machine from the Power-Pro on the inside. You are choosing the body and the look, not extra juicing ability. It is also the heaviest electric of the three, which is a feature on the counter and a chore in a cupboard.

What you are paying for

The die-cast body is the price difference: it adds mass that keeps the press planted, and a housing that shrugs off knocks that mark painted steel.
